This course prepares you for exam 220-701 Essentials and exam 220-702 Practical Application that are required to attain CompTIA A+ certification.

CompTIA A+ Essentials measures the necessary competencies of an entry-level IT professional. It tests for the fundamentals of computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills and professionalism now required of all entry-level IT professionals. CompTIA A+ Practical Application is an extension of the knowledge and skills identified in CompTIA A+ Essentials, with more of a “hands-on” orientation focused on scenarios in which troubleshooting and tools must be applied to resolve problems.

  • Hardware, including storage, motherboards, CPU, memory, display devices, laptop components and more
  • Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, including command line functions, maintenance software, system utilities and evaluating and resolving common issues
  • Operating system and software, including Windows XP Pro/Vista/7 operating system installation, configuration and backup, and user interfaces
  • Networking, including basics of networking fundamentals, SOHO network, network protocols and network security
  • Security, including security concepts and technologies, viruses/malware, and understanding Windows Firewall®

CompTIA Network+ 2012

This course prepares you for exam N10-005 that is required to attain CompTIA Network+ certification.
